Fall makeup trends we kind of already new about

I'd kind of be the first to admit that I'm a bit of a skeptic when I hear the word "trend." I mean, I tend to believe that it's based on preference and not what a magazine dictates. People still wear white after labor day and brown lipstick any time of year so why would anyone follow what's in a magazine? This is how I'd think before magazines started to follow instagram trends.
Instagram has taken place of the magazine realm or more so social media. Influencers are the new beauty editors making the mere writers second class citizens to publishing. I believe in the digital age it makes sense and it gives artists their rightful place as the true trendsetter. Although I'd hate to see art duplicated multiple times but there's a beauty in alterations. Anywho here's the list of makeup we've seen everywhere on Ig that the "latest" fashion brands have finally realized are fantastical.
Pastel/neon/colorful eyeliner
Is setting the fall trend for this coming year. I'm beyond excited to see this dreary pumpkin spice season be truly spiced up with some summer colors. Our influencers has shown us how fun it can be to ditch our liquid eyeliner pen and grab our SUVAs (suvabeauty.com) and play with our look. SUVA beauty specializes in water activated cake eyeliners that come in various colors like pastels, metallics and bold ones. If you prefer eyeliner pens there's low priced ones in colorpop that give bold stroke to the eyes.
Crystal/Pearl eyes
Crystal eyes or pearl eyes why can't jewelry be placed every where else? For this type of look you need some patience, to hold your breath, ardell glue and some sort of design in thought. By all means be sporadic as an artist but it helps to have a vision in place because shades will now be taking the place of looser pigments. It's easies to start with a graphic liner or a few pieces on the inner corner and end. sometimes it's easies to star on the inner corner then work your way out.
I found clusters of crystals, pearls even flowers on amazon.com. It came with special tweezers, various sizes and the hope I needed to re-create said image above.
Colorful eyelashes
Ou this one is fun. To play start with purchasing a cheap pair of lashes, your reuseable lash that's on it's last legs or Vainveins.com lash to recreate this look. Then you'd need eye primer and eyeshadow color of your own choosing. You coat the lash in primer and paint your lashes with desired shadow. You can even purchase colored lashes.
This look can be rocked with neutral toned eyeshadow and then popped with a bright colored lashes (like the image above). It can also be fun to do a complete monochromatic look or paired with two of the same shades repeated throughout the eye.
Bejeweled lips my hopeful addition
Yes yes yes to his one. I know we've done bejeweled lips back in 2013 but I want it to come back and stay. Bejeweled lips are a bit more difficult manage because of eating, speaking and living with crystals around your mouth. I do think the lips are one of the hardest places to avoid any interactions with but I think it can be done. I think a bold lip and some crystal outlining can be a phenomenal look for any holidays. I also believe this will look fabulous for Christmas time or Halloween.
This look can be created very similarly to the bejeweled eye. You can get crystals via amazon or get the whole set from Pat Mcgrath labs. Once you sign up to be on the list you'll see all the latest updates as to when it'll drop.
Graphic liner

Graphic liner is like pastel liner but this one can be done with black. The graphic liner is adding liner to different areas of the eye and accentuating its shape. It's usually added to the hallows of the eye or making a cool shape to switch it up. For this one you'd need to avoid your usual cat eye tendency and just make the effort to be more experimental.
More to come
Then of course theres the usual trends that come with fall like the bright colored lip, structured brows, smokey eyes and dewy skin. So there's a little bit of everything for everyone all varying on comfort levels. I know I'm excited to see more people sport an alternative eye look. I mean now us makeup artists won't be the only standouts while commuting. If you're trying out any of these looks let me know which or send me a dope look (and the product) you used!
